Join Peter Han and Marshall Vandruff as they spotlight favorite artists and illustrators, current and past, to discuss the role of classic picture-making skills. Showcased artists include Winsor McCay, Heinrich Kley, Katsuya Terada, Sergio Toppi, MC Escher, Takehiko Inoue, Franklin Booth, Moebius, Hokusai, and Katsuhiro Otomo. Peter and Marshall will celebrate great drawing and painting masters, offering lessons from them for all artists.

Sketching From observation is the first step in any artists ability to curate a deep visual library and to hone their craft. But then what? Using your creativity and freedom to choose in how to express is a necessity to find a voice in the process. By knowing the rules, now it’s time to try to bend them. By using what Peter calls the ‘Slinky Technique’, He will show a demo on how far he is exploring the range of pushing his sketches.
