Paul Lasaine

Paul Lasaine is a Los Angeles based production designer and concept artist best known for his work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He began his career in film as a traditional matte artist at Disney Studios’ in-house VFX dept, but transitioned to concept art and animation in the mid ‘90s. He won the Annie Award for Best Production Design for his work on Laika Entertainment’s, The Boxtrolls, and has credits on dozens of feature films, including: Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Storks, The Boxtrolls, Surf’s Up, Open Season, The LOTR films, The Prince of Egypt, Alien 3, Batman Returns, and Dick Tracy. Currently, he’s the production designer on Marvel Studios’, What If…?
