In 2001, Jonathan's drive for more rigorous training led him to study under masters Hans Szameit and Sanna Tomac in the classical realist style. Since then, Jonathan has sold many paintings and his work has been exhibited and included in various collections throughout the United States. Jonathan is also currently an instructor on Schoolism.com and mentors a small group of dedicated students.

In this class, you’ll work alongside Jonathan Hardesty and learn his techniques for painting a portrait from life. Jonathan will give you a one hour demo and crash course on understanding the methodology and mindset behind completing a quick portrait study. You’ll learn to capture proportion, value, and color, in order to be able to create the most impactful and realistic portrait possible.
